A Local "Ian B" on Ifira Island
Some people put their name on the outside of their house. This person on Ifira Island is also called Ian B.
Many homes in Vanuatu are made of tin and wood. More expensive homes are made of cement.
Mommy Holding a Baby on Ifira Island
My mom held a baby named Sarah at our friends home.
A Story on Ifira Island
Aunty Carren told the kids a story in the local language Bislama.
Many words in Bislama sound the same in English.
Basketball on Ifira Island
Here are local villagers playing basketball.
Their basketball nets are nailed on two large trees. The gound was dirt but flat and good to bounce the ball.
Playing with Local Kids on Ifira Island
Me and my cousins played with some nice local kids. They also gave us a tour of part of the island.
Local Village on Ifira Island
We went to Ifira Island again and visited friends.
We always ride a boat to the island, then walk through the local village. The island is small and we have walked around most of it.
