Here I am playing on the computer again. I'm on summer vacation now. The new school year starts next week on January 26th.

Refresher Course (Jan. 17, 2009)

My parents and I attended a Refresher Course in Port Vila. About 40 people attended from different parts of Efate Island. I was the youngest one there.

I liked the large balcony on this house so I took a picture of it. The house is down the street from my house. Take a close look at the car mirror to see my reflection.

Sunset over Pango

My parents and I enjoyed a nice sunset from Pango Heights.

This banyan tree is really big and very old. It gives a lot of shade on a hot sunny day.

First Fire in my Backyard (Dec. 26, 2008)

In Vanuatu people burn the leaves that fall off their trees. My Dad and I decided to do the same in our backyard. There was some smoke because several leaves were wet.

My Buddies at the Feast (Dec. 11, 2008)

We attended a nice Feast at the Baha'i Centre in Port Vila. There were visitors from Canada and Australia.

Visit Friends in Eratap (Dec. 6, 2008)

My parents and I have visited Eratap Village several times, usually on Sundays. It is a 20-minute car ride from Port Vila. This time we took our friends Pat, Afshin, Willie and a couple other friends.

Hideaway Island (Dec. 5, 2008)

Our good friends from Canada - Afshin and Pat - came for a visit to Vanuatu for 10 days. We saw them several times and had a great time with them. The second day they were here we went snorkelling at Hideaway Island. We swam far from the shore to a big dropoff, and there I saw a reef shark. My Dad did not see it, and thought I made a mistake until Pat saw it too. Seeing the shark was a little scary for me.

Wan Bigfala Totel (Vanuatu's Bislama language)

"Hemi wan bigfala totel ia mo hevi tumas." In English, "This is one big turtle and very heavy."

Most kids were swimming and some were floating around Turtles Bay.

Lunch Break at Turtles Bay

Having lunch with some classmates. We ate sweetened chicken, sausage, rice, kumala (sweet potato), pineapple, watermelon and ice cream.

We had a lot of fun in the water. It was a hot sunny day and some of us got sunburned.

Central School 2008 - Class 4A

There are 31 students in my class. My teacher is Ms. Aru. I really enjoy school in Vanuatu.

Central School's Music Festival 2008

This dance is called the Australian Bush Dance. It is a traditional dance with grass skirts. My parents saw my class perform on both nights.

Music Festival 2008 - Nov. 26 and 27

I danced with my classmates in 4A (grade 4). There are two grade 4 classes. I'm in 4A. This dance is called Down Under. We did the same show two nights in a row. It was a lot of fun.

Central School - Music Festival 2008

On November 26 and 27 my school had a Music Festival. Most classes performed in two songs by dancing and singing. My friend in another class named Nakhjavani was in a traditional dance with his classmates.

Cattle in the Sunset

I went for a drive in the evening with my parents. We drove near Teouma River (Efate Island) and saw a herd of cattle below tall coconut trees, with a beautiful sunset in the background.

Junior and Lucky

These are my two kittens. They like to eat, sleep and play fight. Lucky, the male cat in my left hand, usually starts the play fights with his sister Junior. Junior is a good hunter. She was eating a small rat the other day, and since it was still alive we think she caught it. Usually their mother Tiger catches the rats and mice in the yard and then shares them with her kittens. We don't have any mice or rats in the house.
